Mr. Akuje is a Chartered Accountant with experience in audit, financial and management accounting, Strategic Planning, administration and other areas. He holds certification in long term and short term insurance. He is a fellow member with various professional bodies including Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCPA), as well the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Mr. Akuje has been Group Chief Financial Officer at Chartered Insurance Brokers since May 2018.
Ms. Gachala is an admitted Attorney of the Court of Botswana with over eight years post graduate experience working in the legal industry, specialising in the corporate and commercial field. She is a member of the Law Society, Botswana Institute of Arbitrators and the International Compliance Association. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Botswana and holds various certifications in compliance and Anti Money Laundering as well as a Certificate of Proficiency (Short Term Insurance). Ms. Gachala joined the company in April 2021. In addition to her current role she also holds the position of CIB’s Anti Money laundering Compliance Officer.
Mr. Jane has vast insurance experience with particular interest in Product Management, Alternative Distribution Channels and Digital Technology. He holds numerous qualifications in Insurance & Risk Management and is a Fellow Member of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA). He also holds a Certificate in Digital Insurance from The Digital Insurer and has completed the Management Development Programme with the University of Stellenbosch. Mr Jane has been with CIB since November 2020 as Principal Officer.
*Motor Comprehensive
Covers your car against accidents, fire, theft and other insured events, as well as claims from third parties, windscreen and glass repairs
*Household Contents
The policy covers household contents or personal effects you own or for which you are responsible while in the dwelling against perils such as accidents, theft, fire, lightning, storm, flood, etc.
*Personal All Risk
Personal effects that can be worn or carried by a person. These include your handbag, wallet, sunglasses, jewellery, laptop, camera, or any other portable electronic devices whilst in or away from your home. Covers against perils such as accidents, theft, etc.
*Home Owners
The Homeowners Insurance covers your residential property including outbuildings, swimming pools etc against loss, destruction or damage caused by perils such as fire, explosion or earthquakes.
*Public liability
Public Liability Insurance covers your business against damages which it may become legally liable to pay.
*Workmen’s Compensation
Workman's Compensation provides cover for employees in the event of bodily injury or a disease that occurred at the workplace. The policy covers accidental bodily injury or death resulting from an accident by external or violent means.
*Business All Risk
Covers loss of or damage to your business's portable property that the you as a business owner or your employees usually take away from where the business operates whilst anywhere in the world.
*Fire And Allied Perils
Policy covers damages to the whole or part of the property, buildings or structures insured owned by you or for which you are responsible, against perils such as fire, lightning or thunderbolt, explosion or other natural causes.
*Buildings Combined
This policy covers commercial and community buildings such as offices and churches against perils such as fire, lightning or explosion.
*Money Cover
Covers loss of or damage to any negotiable instruments, including; cash, cheques, money orders, credit card vouchers, postage and airtime vouchers.
*Group Personal Accident & Group Life Assurance
The policy covers accidental bodily injury or death resulting from an accident by external or violent means. The policy can be issued against selected staff members whom the company cannot do without. It can be taken up for high income earners in the company whom would not be compensated accordingly under Workmen's Compensation Insurance.
*Glass Cover
Covers loss of or damage to internal and external glass (including mirrors), sign writing and treatment thereon at the insured premises.
*Goods In Transit
Anything can happen whilst transporting goods from one destination to another. Provides financial protection against loss of or damage to goods or property owned by you or for which you are responsible whilst being transported, as part of your stated business activity.
*Motor Fleet Cover
This cover offers comprehensive, limited and liability insurance on all commercial vehicles, motorcycles and trailers.
* Professional Indemnity
This aims to cover financial losses that you may become liable for. These are losses that may arise from physical injury or damage to third-party property or person, caused by yourself or anyone involved in your business. This particularly applies when the incident takes place at your company’s premises or at the customer's location if work away has been specified.
*Travel Insurance
Policy covers you for loss of luggage, travel delays and medical and related expenses within Botswana or anywhere in the world.
*Agriculture Insurance
Livestock (cattle, sheep and goats) and Crop insurance will protect you against loss or damages that may arise pertaining their livestock and crops.
This cover is designed to protect farmers against loss resulting from perils such as hail, windstorm, fire & lightning.

Mr. Tseladikae has over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a proven track record of success in building high-performing teams and driving business growth. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Chartered Insurance Brokers' insurance business, including Sales, Distribution, Operations and Client Relations. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Administration from the University of Botswana, along with industry-specific qualifications like COP in Life Insurance, ICIBS, an Associate member of Insurance Institute of South Africa (iiSA) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management. This blend of academic and practical knowledge, coupled with industry experience, positions him as a well-rounded leader in the insurance landscape.
Ms. Maja is a marketing professional and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She holds a Masters of science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby and Bachelor of Business Administration from Helderberg College (Cape Town), a Certificate of Proficiency in Short- & LongTerm insurance, post graduate certificate in Enterprise Risk Management, and Anti money laundering/ CTF certification. She is currently pursuing Intermediate Certificate in Business Studies (ICIBS) – BAC. Ms. Maja has been with Chartered Insurance Brokers.
Mr. Ketshabe was appointed Managing Director to the company in November 2021. He also holds a Master’s of Science degree in Strategic Management from the University of Derby which he obtained in 2022. He also holds a Degree in Education along with a Certificate in Proficiency, Certificate in Anti Money Laundering, Certificate in Finance for non-finance managers and corporate governance as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management.
